Something about peaches reaches my ear

from a branch up ahead of pink flowers I'd neared

I couldn't quite catch it, though it sounded sincere

"What's that about peaches?" then I heard quite clear

a trill "Life is peachy" from harps and from weirs

I paused but there seemed to be no else to hear

The rest of the day I saw peaches in mirrors,

though lovely a sight a thought tickled my ear:

Imagine if peaches were something I feared,

it's probably peachy I hold peaches dear.

Though fun to be languished in

peachy-keen cheer,

next time I might hum when pink flowers are near.
